Japan Sojourn (8 DAYS/ 6 NIGHTS)

from $5,689$9,029

Japan is a country full of mystery. Only when you have been to Japan will you learn to understand the unique culture and the Japanese way of life. An enigma to the western world, Japan finds the perfect balance of old traditions and modern influence to achieve coexistence between the two, almost a symbiotic relationship, if you will. Tokyo, a city frequently used as a setting for futuristic landscapes and cyber-punk environments, is peppered with ancient temples, roadways, and castles, hidden amongst the towering skyscrapers and freeways. Kyoto, the land of the Geisha, is one of the most traditional Japanese cities, with many of the countries temples residing there, where tradition reigns king over all else.

On this tour, we will take you to the capital city of Japan, Tokyo, and the ancient capital city of Kyoto. Experience the juxtaposition of both modern-day and ancient worlds with these two cities, and experience the traditions, food, sights, and sounds, that Japan has to offer on Elite Voyages “Japan Sojourn, 8-days, 6-nights” tour and get lost in a world unknown.

Fun Fact: The busiest intersection in the world… it is Shibuya Crossing in Tokyo.
Rumored to be the busiest intersection in the world (and definitely in Japan), Shibuya Crossing is like a giant beating heart, sending people in all directions with every pulsing light change. Nowhere else says ‘Welcome to Tokyo’ better than this. Hundreds of people – and at peak times upwards of 3000 people – cross at a time, coming from all directions at once, yet still dodge each other with practiced, nonchalant agility. Hollywood movies featuring Shibuya Crossing: Lost in Translation (2003) and The Fast Furious: Tokyo Drift (2006). Don’t miss it!
