K-Pop Demon Hunters is a 2025 animated movie. It’s an animated film about a K-pop trio that  defends the human world from demons through their music; no one expected it to be the hit  film of 2025. But after its Netflix release in June of that year, “K-Pop Demon Hunters” quickly  

became the most-watched film of all time on Netflix, with over 300 million views, and even  achieved box office success with a limited theatrical release sing-along version. Additionally, a  historically unprecedented four songs from the film were among the top 10 of the Billboard 100  Charts for 8 weeks! 

Story Line:  The plot follows the K-pop trio (Rumi, Mira, and Zoey), and they called themselves The Huntrix,  who are chart-topping stars that also secretly protect the human world from demons. Huntrix  reinforces the shield, or Honmoon, between the human world and the demon world by  uplifting the hearts and souls of listeners with their music. Huntrix hopes to seal the Honmoon  for good, but things begin to go awry when a group of demons find a way to enter the human  world and take on the form of a five-person boy band, known as the Saja Boys. Their plan is to  steal the Huntrix’s fans and thereby weaken and destroy the honmoon. With their saccharine  earworm “Soda Pop,” the Saja Boys go viral and create significant competition for Huntrix.

–Gwanghwamun Square: Identified as a site featured in the movie and used for promotional  “walk-through” events for fans. 

-Buckchon Hanok Village: It serves as the backdrop for quiet, scenic moments, specifically  where characters Rumi and Jinu share a secret meeting and perform the song “Free.” 

-Seoul City Wall: specifically, the section at Naksan Park is a featured location in the 2025  Netflix animated film K-Pop Demon Hunters. It is depicted as a romantic, moonlit spot where  the main characters of Jinu and Rumi meet. 

-N Seoul Tower: It features prominently as the site of the climax scene and the final battle,  where the Saja Boys perform a concert to summon Gwi-Ma, serving as the dramatic, central  “beacon” of the city. 

-Myeongdong Shopping Street: specifically serving as the bustling, neon-lit backdrop for the  Saja Boys’ debut performance of their song “Soda Pop” 

-National Museum of Korea. Although this museum is not in the movie, souvenir items from  the movie are sold here. Items like “Derpy” tiger and the hojakdo (tiger and magpie) motifs.
